Training needs analysis
Welcome to the National Assessment Agency’s training needs analysis tool.
The analysis looks at four areas important to successful Diploma administration: IT skills, understanding of the Diploma, understanding of consortium working and the ability to use the Diploma aggregation service. A report is generated once all the questions are completed which summarises the user's skills in each section and makes recommendations for what level of training may be required. The report is confidential and could be used to form the basis of discussion with your line manager or Centre Support Officer.

You will be able to answer yes to many of the questions, but there are some you may be unsure about. You should not be concerned about this, the intention is to highlight areas where you need more support or training and for sections 2, 3 and 4 much of this will be provided by the NAA. Section 1 will highlight any gaps in your IT skills and will help you to find training locally to address these needs.

Training for the Diploma aggregation service (section 4) will be provided by the NAA during the autumn term 2008.

If your personalised report highlights areas where more training is needed, there are many sources of information and help you can call on:
• your local NAA Centre Support Officer
• the NAA guide to getting ready for the Diploma
• the NAA website at naa.org.uk/Diploma
